Kiplou in short
Kiplou is a grocery list app for couples, families and flatmates. Everyone adds and checks off items from their own phone, iPhone or Android, and everyone sees the list update instantly. The screen stays on while you shop, items are sorted by category or by aisle, and you can drive the app by voice, with dictation or with Siri.
Kiplou is built in France by an independent developer, with no ads and no tracking. It is available in French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian.
What Kiplou does
Real-time sharing
Invite someone by link (Messages, WhatsApp, AirDrop...), QR code or 6-character code. They accept in one tap, and you both see, check off and add items instantly, phone to phone, iPhone or Android. "Checked by Marie", "added by Paul": no more duplicates. Your guest only needs Kiplou, free and without an account (one active shared list at a time). With Premium, shared lists are unlimited, with up to 5 people per list.
Smart lists
Organize your items by category (produce, dairy, pantry...), add quantities and units, and check them off as you shop. With Pro, sort your list by aisle.
Voice input and Siri
Add items by voice: Kiplou recognizes several items at once. With Siri, add an item ("Add milk to Kiplou"), check off, remove or change a quantity, in all 6 languages. A widget puts your list on the Home Screen, with "X of Y picked" progress.
Barcode scanning
Scan a product to identify it automatically. Kiplou relies on Open Food Facts, the open, collaborative database of about 4 million food products, especially complete for products sold in France and Europe. With Pro, the Nutri-Score, the Green Score and the NOVA group appear instantly.
Prices, budget and basket comparison Pro
Enter prices as you buy, browse price history store by store and estimate your budget before checkout. The comparison shows your list's total in each of your stores and switches the list to the cheapest one in one tap.
Multi-store and location awareness Pro
Unlimited lists and stores, one list per store. Kiplou detects your store and opens the matching list as soon as you arrive.
Suggestions and recipe import Pro
Kiplou learns your habits and offers a ready-to-add selection every week. Import the ingredients of a recipe from the web (supported sites) in one tap.
Recipes and "What to cook?" Premium
Kiplou suggests recipes you can make from your list, showing how many ingredients you already have, and adds what's missing in one tap. Browse and copy recipes shared by the community.
